Magic Lath & Plaster was founded by Jovanny Rodriguez. The company works in one trade lath, plaster and stucco and that focus is the point. Exterior wall systems are their own discipline: substrate preparation, weather barrier, lath attachment, coat thickness, cure time and finish technique all affect how a wall performs and how it looks a decade later.
The work started on Los Angeles homes and has grown into commercial and multifamily exteriors — apartment buildings, storefronts, office and industrial elevations, hospitality properties and HOA-managed communities. The standards did not change with the scale of the buildings: prepare properly, apply properly, match the finish, leave the site clean.
How we work with owners, managers and general contractors
Commercial work carries constraints that residential work usually does not — tenants in place, customer entrances that have to stay open, parking that cannot be lost for a week, and finish that must blend into an existing building rather than start fresh. We plan around those constraints during the walkthrough, not after mobilizing.
Every project starts with an on-site visit, a measured scope and written pricing. Free on-site estimates are part of that process. Where an existing texture has to be matched, we produce a sample on the building and get it approved before the crew covers a full elevation.
What we are careful not to claim
We publish only what we can stand behind: our license number, the trades we perform, the finishes we apply and the areas we serve. Bonding limits, crew counts and client names are discussed directly during estimating, where they can be documented for the specific project.
